IWATSUKI Warranty & After-Sales Policy

  1. 30-Day Satisfaction & Quality Guarantee
  • 30-Day Satisfaction Period: IWATSUKI offers a 30-day warranty on all products, effective from the carrier’s confirmed delivery date. A dated proof of purchase (Order ID) is required for all claims.
  • Non-Quality Returns (The “Test-Drive” Guarantee):
  • You are welcome to “test-drive” your new shears for fit, balance, and feel. If they aren’t the perfect fit, you may initiate a return or exchange within 30 days.
  • Condition: Items must be in “like-new” condition (free of hair residue, nicks, or scratches) and returned in their original packaging.
  • Note: For hygiene reasons, shears showing signs of heavy usage or biological residue are ineligible for non-quality returns.
  • Restocking Fee: A 20% restocking fee applies if the original packaging is missing or damaged. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs to our U.S. warehouse.

Manufacturing Defects & Replacement Protocol

  • First-Time “No-Return” Privilege: For your first confirmed defect claim, IWATSUKI provides a hassle-free replacement without requiring you to mail the item back. To qualify, you must provide high-resolution photos and videos clearly demonstrating the defect alongside a handwritten note of your Order ID.
  • Subsequent Claims & Physical Evaluation: If quality issues recur after the initial replacement:
  • Required Return: The shears must be shipped to our U.S. service center for professional evaluation. The customer covers initial return shipping.
  • Outcome A (Defect Confirmed): You may choose a new replacement or a full refund. IWATSUKI will reimburse your return shipping costs. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method only.
  • Outcome B (Non-Defect): If the issue is determined to be due to wear, neglect, or accidental damage, no refund or replacement will be provided. Items must be retrieved at the customer’s own expense. Following two official email notifications, items left unclaimed for more than 14 calendar days will be disposed of.
  1. Lifetime Limited Warranty
  • Coverage: IWATSUKI provides a lifetime limited warranty specifically on the shear mechanism (tension system) and handle structural integrity against manufacturer’s defects.
  • Exclusions & Consumables: Blade edges are considered consumable parts and are not covered beyond the initial 30-day window. This warranty strictly excludes:

1.Normal wear and tear or natural dullness from usage.

2.Neglect or improper maintenance (e.g., rust, corrosion).

3.Damage caused by dropping, accidental impact, or third-party sharpeners.

III. Evaluation & Shipping

  • Digital Evaluation Process: To ensure rapid support, initial eligibility is determined via digital evidence. Photos and videos must clearly show the defect alongside your Order ID. IWATSUKI reserves the right to make the final determination on warranty eligibility based on the evidence provided.
  • Shipping Fee Summary:
  • Manufacturer Error: IWATSUKI covers all shipping costs for incorrect items or confirmed manufacturing defects.
  • Personal Preference: Customers are responsible for all shipping, handling, and insurance fees for exchanges or returns due to personal preference.
